2013 In Retrospect via One Really Long Jpeg

I thought it might be interesting to lay out all the pages I’ve worked on in 2013.  I’m probably missing a couple, and I had to leave off GI Joe RAH #199 because it isn’t out yet.

Add a 1 year old running around the house in between each page for full effect.

Transformers: RID #15

rid15Transformers Robots in Disguise #15 came out last month. Issue 16 wraps up this story arc written by John Barber and penciled by Andrew Griffith. Andrew has been one of the most detailed TF artists I’ve inked and the end result looks great, especially with Josh Perez’s colors.

If you haven’t picked it up, get on it!

Here are a few inked pages from the issues. There’s some good Rock ’em Sock ’em Robot action between Devastator & Superion.

Transformers: Police Action

This week I got my comps of IDW’s Transformers: Police Action. I did inks for the last issue in the series over Brendan Cahill’s pencils and then finished off with Joanna Fuente’s beautiful colors. I post a lot of sketches on here, and figured I’m long overdue for uploading some professional work.

Daily Sketch: iPad experiment plus Transformers page

I’m taking a break this weekend in order to work in my yard, exercise, catch up on sleep, and hug my son. To tide you over here’s a mediocre iPad sketch, and then to make up for that the finished page from Transformers #29 I inked over Brendan Cahill with colors by Joanna Lafuente.

Back from Comic-con and Doctor Who Inks

I’m back from Comic Con. I slept almost 12 hours last night after a day spent flying over the US through air that’s just a bit more turbulent than I care for. There’s a ton of reviews of the show popping up all over the internet, so I won’t bore you with one here. I will say that attending the show is a much different experience when you don’t have a table. I was exhausted every day before the show ended.

I did make some great contacts and enjoyed hanging out with the guys I see at every show. I even did a couple sketches which I’ll post when I get them off of my camera.

In the meantime, here’s a page of inks I did for an issue of Doctor Who (Forgotten #6) for IDW. (Pencils by Kelly Yates)
