You know, if all you look at on the site is the blog, you'd swear we've been slacking off this month.
In fact, the GravyGuys have been busy little beavers behind the scenes - moving and shaking, as it were. More details will follow. Just know that we're working to make your GravyBoy experience all the sweeter.
In the meantime -
I've recently discovered the joy of podcasts - If you're unfamiliar, podcasting is a method of publishing audio content to a wide variety of recipients. Many people use this method to record and distribute miniature radio-style 'shows' about any number of topics that can then be played on a computer (using audio software such as Media Player or iTunes) or on a portable MP3 player.
You can probably guess my favorite podcast topic.
There are a boatload of Comic Book related podcasts out there delivering enough hours of comic book news, reviews, and interviews to fill up every waking hour. Some are real gems and others are... well.... less than.
If you're interested in checking out the newest internet craze, these are a few of my favorites. You can check out their sites and follow the directions for each to get the feed or the individual episodes.
Enjoy!
FbrPC.com - the podcast version of Fanboy Radio. This is a recording of their twice-weekly radio show broadcast from KTCU radio in Texas. Good quality. Great guests. They set the bar.
Collected Comics Library - features news and reviews for graphic novels, hardbound editions and much more. Always a quality show.
Pipeline Comics Webcast - the weekly podcast of ComicBookResources reviewer, Auggie de Blieck Jr. A weekly tour through the industry and the books being released that week. The instructions for subscribing to the podcast is frequently at the bottom of his weekly reviews. Good stuff.
ComicsPodcasts.com - Not a podcast, per se, but a portal for many comic book podcasts available on the web. This is a good place to go and find some favorites of your own.
Most of the above will tend to be PG-13ish, but there is no FCC regulation on podcasts, so... well... just don't play them out loud at the office.
Peace.
