The last panel in today's Fanboy Almanac is by far the most disturbing thing I've drawn in quite a while.  I think my dreams will be haunted.

Issue 2?  Oh right, that.  It's almost done.  I hope to wrap everything up this weekend.  The only question is whether or not the printer will be able to turn our order around in a month.  I hear they're really busy.  I really want to have these for Heroes...we'll see what happens.

Marty went out of town, leaving me to finish today's Fanboy Almanac all by my lonesome.  I was trying to get it done so I could work on GravyBoy some more, but it's almost midnight, and I have work tomorrow...so it's not going to happen.  Marty does a better job with the lettering than I do...probably because I ended up doing it on the tail end of a busy day and just wanted to get done.  Oh well.

Got your tickets yet?

I think today's Fanboy Almanac is my favorite so far.

Two more weeks until summer break starts...then it's time to hit the drawing board hard.  Speaking of hitting the drawing board...the reason I'm typing this now is because I had to get away from it.  The page I was working on just wasn't coming and I need to clear my head.

One more week until Star Wars Episode III.  Yes, I'm looking forward to it.  Curse you Lucas!

ok...back to the drawing board.

Today I started out by taking my truck to get inspected promptly three moths after it was due.  I need two new front tires, since there's metal showing on both, and they only had one in stock.  I have to take it back Monday for that...of course, I  didn't get the one good tire, I'm waiting for Monday to get both.  Why you may ask?  Why indeed.  I have no idea why.  I like living on the edge, I guess.

Afterwards I spent a good four or five hours at Acme Comics sitting behind the table giving out some free mini-preview comics for GravyBoy and shooting the breeze with fellow comic artist Kelly Yates.  Super nice guy.  Afterwards my wife and I spent the evening in Barnes & Noble where I verified Marty's question as to whether the New Oxford American Dictionary had the word "fanboy" in it.  It does.

Oh,  and if you haven't gotten your mom a mother's day gift, I would suggest you start thinking about it.

Wow!  May already?  Well, since I haven't mentioned it yet, I'll go ahead and say it....Issue 2 is scheduled for release next month.  Yep...that's right...on schedule for our quarterly release.  This month is crunch time, and I'm busting my tail to finish up the last of the pencils and inks, (and this time I have help on the graytones) So we should be good to go!

This Saturday we will be at Acme Comics in Greensboro for Free Comic Book day.  So if you're around, feel free to stop by, say hi, see some preview art for issue 2, and pick up some free comics!

Peace.
