Last night I spent 10 hours driving back from Orlando FL.  So if I seem  bit incoherent, it's because I am.

MegaCon was a blast.  Marty and I will put together a review and pictures, but he's currently in New Orleans living it up on the corporate dime, so it'll have to wait until next week.

The Con is a big blur in my mind at the moment, and it'll take a few days to sort everything out.  I met a lot of new people, bought some cool sketchbooks, and slept very little.   Everything you'd expect from a con.  In that last sentence I misspelled "expect" and when spellcheck gave me the options of either the correct spelling or  to spell it "except" it took me a second to choose.  Sleep depravation is a wonderful thing.

I lost count of the number of small towns we went through around 3 AM last night that were eerily vacant of traffic...save, me and Chris crusin' through waiting to be pulled over by some local sheriff, who thought we looked suspicious just because we were out that late.  Fortunately, we made it home...which was a feat considering the trouble we had just getting out of Florida. But I'm too tired to tell that story now, and if I did it probably wouldn't be very amusing to anyone but me.   Primarily because when you're tired, everything is funny.

Also, you tend to ramble...as seen here.

Anyway, if you met us at the con and have stopped by, leave us a comment below or visit us on our message board.  We'd love to hear from you.

We leave tomorrow morning for Orlando.  Our books are scheduled to be delivered to us today.  Last time we tracked them, they were in town...so far so good.  Other than that, I think we've got everything just about together...except CD's for the 10 hour drive...and I guess it would be a good time to throw some clothes in a bag, too.

When we get back next week issue 1 will be up for sale...finally.   I'm working on getting issue 2 done pretty quickly, but I'm not going to give a due date yet.   I'll let you know the closer it gets.

Have a good weekend, and if you're at MegaCon this weekend, stop by artist's alley and say hi!

This time next week we'll be at our table at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida.  Which will be a nice getaway, though I envision the following Monday being a bit rough...what with a con and 20 hours of driving behind us at that point.  But it should be fun just the same.  In a grand scheme to cut things as close as possible, our books are scheduled to arrive here next Wednesday.  Nice.

A belated happy Valentine's day to you and yours.

Just a quick post to let you know that Wednesdays will be the official update day for the Fanboy Almanac Cartoons.  In case you were wondering.  Also I want to point out the new commenting system here on the blog.  You don't need to sign up for the forum to comment, you can just click on the comments below and post your remarks.

By the way, we expect Issue 1 of GravyBoy any day now...seriously.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon lounging around the Barnes & Noble Cafe drawing a picture of Lara Croft.  (A piece that is currently available on Ebay, i might add.)  I've been putting a little more work up for sale since I'm trying to fund my trip to Megacon in...less than two weeks.

Also, be sure and keep an eye out for the next Fanboy Almanac installment this week.

You may have noticed something new.  It's a little thing we like to call "Fanboy Almanac."

This weekly strip is the latest brain child from Jack Rabbit Stewdios that chronicles the misadventures of four average American fanboys.  Hilarity and quirkiness ensue. I need to tweak the site a bit to get it fitting a little neater, but that'll have to wait a little while.  Getting ready for Megacon is our current priority.

By the way, GravyBoy issue 1 will be ready within the next week and a half, per the official word from our printer.  So we'll have that puppy up for sale by the end of the month.

Peace out.

I was one paragraph away from a pretty long post about figure drawing and figure drawing books that have helped me.  Unfortunately, my computer crashed and decided it would be fun to restart without telling me.

I don't have the energy to retype it all right now...so until then...more Starblazers.

Stupid computer.
