Merry Christmas!!

The presents are wrapped, the stockings are hung, the trees are lit and the terror alert is down to yellow. It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Hope the jolly fat man has been good to you!

We hope also that you've taken time to share this holiday season with loved ones, family and friends and to remember those who could not be present.

May the day be a blessing to you and yours!

And of course if you're still shopping for late gifts, shame on you - But the GravyBoy store is open to fill all your GravyBoy apparel needs and the comic is available here or through Comixpress.

If you have a moment, come share your holiday stories and blessings on the GravyBoard (you'll have to register if you haven't, but it's free and, I promise, no spam).

So, for now, Merry Christmas to all! And to all, a good night.

PS - If you've read issue 0 already, stop by Comixpress and write up a review for us - good or bad, you'd be helping out a lot by sharing your thoughts. Peace out

-Marty

Stick a fork in me.  I'm done.

The book is finished and off to the printer!  We'll be getting some preview images up shortly, but for now how about a look at Randy Green's cover?

I think our printer is backed up a few weeks so it'll be after the first of the year before issue 1 comes out.  We'll keep you updated, and in the meantime stop by and drop us a message on our forum!

Merry Christmas!

A wise man once said "making comics isn't easy as it looks."

Oh wait...that was me.

I would like to finally say that all the pages are done....DONE...DID YOU HEAR ME...I SAID DONE!!!!!  I spent today inking the cover.  Randy did a fantastic job...I think I may put this image on some T-Shirts...anybody want a GravyBoy lunchbox?

I imagine we're within a week of sending this puppy off to the printer.  Just in time to start on Issue 2.  Funny that.

I really do plan on getting the next book done faster.  Like I said, this is a learning process and we get a little faster everyday.  The goal is to have the book come out quarterly.  I've just got to hit that groove.  After the first of the year I'll be teaching full time, so I'll be trying to find the balance between work, family, and making comics.

A delicate balance indeed.

In the meantime, look for a preview within the next week!

Wow.  A month since a post?  Where has this month gone?  What the crap have I been doing?

Oh yeah.  Drawing Comics.

Issue 1 is getting ready to be sent off to the printer.  I know I know...I said it would be out in October.  Two guys putting a comic together isn't as easy at it looks.  Of course, I guess you could argue that we aren't making it look easy.  But we will...give us time.  This is only our second issue.

This weekend I put the graytones on 12 pages.  It's all coming together.   My friend Randy Green has agreed to draw the cover for Issue 1, and I'm excited to see his version of the characters.

Also, Issue Zero is now for sale at ComixPress.com.  They'll be handling the shipping and everything for each issue printed online.  I'll be linking their site up to ours in the next couple of days.  In the meantime you can still purchase the issue directly from gravyboy.com.
