Dear Roger,
The life of a super-hero is a full and unpredictable one.
Also, I am now a teenager. As such, I cannot be held to any particular schedules or 'plans'. The greatest promise my generation can offer you is "I might stop by."
So...
I might stop by.
Plus - I get nervous when talking to girls.
Pencilling you in,

Dear Gravyboy,
I may be the only girl there (except for Andrea, maybe? and Sarah? But that's beside the point) and I'm married. So I promise not to flirt with you. Much.
Does that make you feel better?

Dear Gravy Guys,
When you color your pages, is it done in full color and converted to black and white or do you shade using grey tones only?
Is this due to cost prohibitions, or is it done to say something about the world of GravyBoy? Are you making a statement about how the evils GravyBoy faces are more often shades of grey and not always clear cut black and white - good and evil?
Thank you for making such an entertaining book.
Bob Noberini
PS: though seriously, I am curious about your coloring process.

Hey Bob,
Danny just does graytone flats...and it's purely a cost thing. Although, I'll let you in on a little secret. Color is in GravyBoy's future when we solicit the book through Diamond. At least that's the plan for the moment.

bob,
i personally prefer doing the greytones in grayscale mode rather than converting color. i find that it gives me more control over the contrast of different items so i don't have a lot of things that are close to each other come out with too similar of a shade of grey.....for example you could color someone wearing a red shirt and blue jeans and it would look fine in color....but if you converted that to graytone, it may look like the two are the same color. on the otherhand, it may work fine in some cases to convert the color....but since we were more concerned with getting the issues out in time for the cons, i didn't want to waste too much time with experimentation.
