Lumps may come in handy, though with with ability to manipulate gravy into any form, the consistancy is irrelevant.

Boats helped found our country. Without boats Columbus could not have reached the new world nor the millions of immigrants who escaped persecution in Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries.

So clearly you can see that boats are outdated.
